Root of it Foundation is rooted in serving BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and intentionally historically marginalized and disenfranchised identities, along with accomplices committed to dismantling systems of oppression. Our work addresses the complexities of identity and the impacts of generational, racial, and systemic trauma, as well as internalized oppression.

Creating access for others is challenging when we face our own barriers. Many providers struggle to support themselves while dismantling internalized oppression and holding space for those we serve. At Root of It Foundation, we recognize this struggle and are dedicated to equipping providers with the tools for personal growth and resilience. By fostering a supportive environment, we empower mental health professionals to thrive and create meaningful access for the communities they serve.

As social justice advocates, we are dedicated to transforming and decolonizing mental health care by equipping future providers to be agents of change and resistance rather than participants in a broken system. Our vision is to open genuine pathways to mental health support and provide training that fosters awareness, resourcefulness, and compassion for all identities. At Tree of Life Counseling Center, we cultivate brave spaces that center authentic community well-being.

Support for Organizations & Clinicians

In partnership with our sister company, Tree of Life Counseling Center, we provide transformative trainings and workshops for organizations in the San Antonio area and across the U.S. If your organization is ready to deepen its understanding of the intersections between mental health, social justice, and the collective well-being of your community, we invite you to connect with us. Together, we can foster a liberatory framework that supports healing and empowers change.

Workshops Trainings and Placticas

Grow in your understanding and practice of anti-racist, anti-oppressive care for yourself and others.

Your contributions will ensure fair wages for providers and help maintain affordable service costs for the community. Additionally, when funds are available, we allocate resources to provide scholarships for individuals from BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and intentionally disenfranchised backgrounds pursuing decolonized clinical training. Together, we can promote equitable access to mental health resources and empower future leaders in the field.
