Clinical Supervision

Support for Organizations & Clinicians

Supervision

I offer supervision to a limited number of pre-licensed professionals seeking a relationship grounded in trust, transparency, and autonomy. My supervision models center on openness, humility, adaptability, relational power and awareness and inclusion. In the process of decolonizing mental health, I will work with you to set reasonable goals and case loads so that you are not burned out by the time you are seeking full licensure.

You have dedicated enough time and energy into becoming a competent provider, you deserve to find joy in the work that you do!

I have over 10 years of experience in working with children, adolescents/adults and families in clinic, RTC, and inpatient & outpatient settings. Throughout my career, I’ve gained extensive experience with diverse backgrounds, developmental issues, neurodivergence, attachment issues, chronic illness, and a relational cultural clinical approach. As a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, I focus on incorporating play therapy into my work with adults.

I believe that before we can help others process, understand and heal intergenerational trauma, we as providers need to first do that work ourselves. I incorporate these skills into supervision—I am not your therapist, but I will help you to find the skills needed to be a competent healer.

As a supervisee, you are not a number to me. You are the future of our healing profession and how we make a continued impact within the community we serve and the mental health profession at large. We rise together.

For pre-licensed professionals seeking to decolonize mental health and no longer perpetuate harmful practices that have been handed down in academia.

The root of It Foundation was created to do exactly what the name states, get to the root of what is causing the pain and suffering in our community. This means actively removing roadblocks that have been put in place to deny providers and the community full access to their inner healing abilities.

The community deserves providers who want to get to the root of our pain decolonizing mental health and work toward collective liberation. “decolonizing” mental health and “generational healing” are not just buzzwords to us, but they are part of the active process of unlearning practices that do harm to the community around us as well as to healers.

We work with providers & healers seeking full licensure to root out patriarchal, biased, and damaging teachings that the mental health and medical system is steeped in and to replace them with concepts and teaching that are centered on the needs of each individual and the collective healing and liberation of our society.

Healers deserve access to their own inner healing abilities and to their own collective liberation in order to then work with the community to heal their own generational wounds. The Root of It Foundation seeks to educate and train providers who are willing and able to put the effort into the work of generational healing.

The sad truth is that many providers are currently unable to access supervisors who have this mindset and vision because of finances. How then do we help healers to heal themselves and others? We removed the roadblocks that have been placed in front of them, one of which is capitalism.

Your donations will go towards empowering and educating decolonized healers so that they can then work with marginalized communities who deserve access to healers who can truly honor their lived experience.

For clinicians who need support & resources to best serve their clients.
